01About these terms

These terms apply when you use chamelioni.com or order from Chamelioni Enterprises Ltd. ("Chamelioni", "we", "us") of Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. By placing an order you agree to them, so please read them before you buy.

They do not take away any rights you have under Nigerian law, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.

02Your account

  • You must be 18 or older to create an account and place orders.
  • Keep your details accurate and your password private. You are responsible for orders placed from your account.
  • Tell us straight away at hello@chamelioni.com if you think someone else has used your account.

03How ordering works

You can order in two ways:

  • From our shop: choose a piece, its size and finish, and pay at checkout.
  • A custom piece: upload a photo, sketch your idea or describe it in words. We reply with a quote that shows the price and how long it is valid for. Accepting the quote and paying confirms your order.

Your order is confirmed only when we receive payment and send you an order confirmation. Until then, prices and availability can change.

04Your measurements and details

We make every piece to the size, materials, colours and other details you give or approve. You are responsible for making sure these are correct, including checking that the piece will fit through your doors, stairs, lifts and corridors and into the space where it will stand.

  • Please measure carefully and check the dimensions in your quote or order before you pay. Our size guide on each product page shows how.
  • We are not responsible if a piece does not fit, or does not suit your space, because of measurements or details you provided or approved.
  • Handmade furniture can differ slightly from the stated size. Differences of up to 1 cm are normal and are not a fault.
  • Wood grain, natural fabrics and leather vary from piece to piece, and colours look different on different screens. These natural differences are not faults.
  • Changes you ask for after production has started may cost extra or may not be possible. We will tell you before doing any extra work.

05Prices and payment

  • All prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦).
  • The price shown when you pay, together with the delivery charge for your area shown at checkout, is the amount you pay. There are no hidden charges.
  • Payments are processed securely by Paystack. We never see or store your card details.
  • If we ever price an item wrongly by obvious mistake, we will contact you before making it, and you may cancel for a full refund.

06Production and timelines

  • Each piece is made to order. The lead time shown on the product page or in your quote is our best estimate.
  • You can follow your order at every stage (Submitted, In Production, Quality Check, In Transit, Delivered) in your dashboard.
  • If something outside our control delays your order, such as supply shortages, strikes, extreme weather or other events we cannot reasonably prevent, we will tell you and give you a new date. If the delay is long, you may cancel the order for a refund of what you paid for work not yet done.

07Delivery

  • We deliver to your doorstep, meaning the main entrance of the delivery address you give us. Carrying pieces upstairs or into a particular room, and assembly, are included only when your order or quote says so.
  • We will contact you before delivery to agree a day. Please keep your phone reachable on that day.
  • If you are not home, please send someone you trust to receive the delivery for you. If nobody is available, our driver may leave the piece at your doorstep. From that moment it is your responsibility.
  • Please make sure we can reach your doorstep: clear access through gates and estates, and any permission needed to enter.
  • If we have to bring a delivery back because nobody was available and it could not safely be left, because we could not get access, or because the delivery was refused without a valid reason, you will need to pay the delivery charge again for us to bring it back to you. The charge depends on your location and matches the delivery charge for your area.
  • If you need a different delivery day, tell us at least 24 hours before the agreed day and we will rearrange it at no extra cost.

08Checking your piece when it arrives

Please check your furniture as soon as it arrives, ideally while the delivery team is still there.

  • If anything is damaged or not as agreed, tell the delivery team and contact us within 48 hours of delivery, with photos.
  • Telling us quickly helps us fix the problem fast. Reporting later does not take away your legal rights, but it can make it harder to show what happened in transit.

09Cancelling an order

  • Shop orders: you can cancel before your piece goes into production for a full refund.
  • Custom pieces: you can cancel before production starts for a full refund. After production starts, we may keep a reasonable charge to cover the materials bought and the work already done, and refund the rest. We will show you how the charge is worked out.
  • To cancel, contact us at hello@chamelioni.com with your order number.

Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 14 working days of the cancellation being agreed.

10Returns, faults and refunds

  • If your piece is faulty, damaged in delivery or not what we agreed, we will repair it, replace it or refund you, as the law requires. We collect faulty pieces at no cost to you.
  • Pieces made to your own measurements or design cannot be returned simply because you changed your mind, because they were made only for you.
  • Normal wear and tear, damage from misuse or not following the care guide, and the natural differences described above are not faults.

Our separate Warranty and Returns pages give the full details.

11Photos, sketches and designs you send us

  • When you upload a photo or sketch, you confirm you are allowed to share it and you let us use it to quote for and make your piece.
  • We do not publish your photos, sketches or finished pieces without your permission.
  • We make furniture inspired by designs you share, but we do not copy brand names, logos or protected designs. We may decline a request if we believe making it would infringe someone else's rights.

12Reviews and content you post

Reviews must be honest and about your own experience. We check reviews before they appear and may decline ones that are offensive, misleading or unrelated to the product. We never edit what a review says.

13Our responsibility to you

  • We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
  • We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for problems caused by measurements or details you provided.
  • Unless the law says otherwise, our total responsibility for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited, including for death or injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

14Disagreements and the law

If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most problems can be solved quickly by talking to us.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute that cannot be settled between us will be handled by the courts of Lagos State. You may also contact the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

15Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on the site when you placed it. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
